Gratitude

Have you ever felt that something terrible was happening to you, but later, when you looked back on it, you realized that it was a good thing? That happens to everyone. When you realize that everything that happens to you is for your good, all of the time, you are seeing your life the way your soul sees it.
Even if what happens is painful, like the death of a friend, or being abused, you can still realize—even while it is happening—that it is for your good. If you practice thinking this way, you will save yourself a lot of anger and fear…
This is a new way of reasoning. Most people reason the old way. If it hurts, they think, or keeps me from doing what I want, it’s not good. Then they get upset, angry, frightened, jealous, and sad. The old way of reasoning always causes these feelings. It makes you feel like a victim—of someone else, or of the Universe. The new way of reasoning makes you feel grateful…
Which way would you rather feel?
As we become multisensory, the new way of reasoning—which is a much higher way of reasoning than the old way—becomes natural…Multisensory perception allows you to see that what happens every moment is perfect, no matter what it is.
Even if you can’t see that, you can still know it.
That is using the higher form of reasoning.
